25 days

In 25ish days the love of my life and I will leave for Jamaica. It's time we need. Time we crave. Alone time. Together time. Good, quality, fun time. ... And, we'll be there with some amazing friends. We'll be there because of those amazing friends. As they profess their love for each other, and make thing official, we'll laugh & cry with them. I am so excited that we are nearly there... Ready to play, splash, live & love... In an amazingly beautiful island country.
Just 25 more days! Eeeeeeeeeeee!

He had a fantastic first day!

Everything went super smooth for Caleb's first day of Kindergarten!

Whew! I just got home from working in my classroom. I arrived this morning at 9...but, due to my hard, non-stop work... I don't really have to go back tomorrow. I will. I have a few things to laminate & trash to empty. But, for the most part, I'm ready. Redoing after the *ahem* construction has taken a long time. I had to re-find my stuff. It was everywhere! I'm still missing some stuff, but I figure either it'll turn up, or it won't. No big deal.

Tomorrow I want to get a pedicure & that first day of school *new* outfit. Also, I want to get Caleb a first day of kindergarten outfit & a haircut. We are so happy he got Mrs. Markell for his first public school teacher! He is very ready...and I've decided I am, too.

In one week...

...we'll be packing a backpack for this guy to go to his first day of kindergarten. It just doesn's seem like he's old enough yet. ...but, Alas, he is. *sniff Sniff*

In the story of David & Goliath... As we heard in church today... I am compelled to say that I desire to be like the pebble in this fight. Guided, sent on a path to accomplish a single, defining goal in this life. Holding a true path to the end, conquering the enemies that stand in the way, resulting in the splendor of the King! Taking down the beast & entering into the Glory of our God!

Too excited to sleep!

Today should be an awesome day! After the recent flooding in my classroom...all is (supposed to be) repaired & I get to move back in! I have new carpet & freshly painted (institutional white) walls...and tons of **new** posters to laminate & hang.

But...THAT is not why I woke up at 4 am...unable to go back to sleep...too excited to sleep...

Gift to me

My sweet friend from way back in elementary is talented. She can sew just about anything. I found some stuff on etsy that I liked, just not the right fabric...so, I commissioned her to work her magic. She over ordered the amount of fabric she needed & continued to create...and just let me know she's making another something for me. I asked her to make a purse/bag. Check. She added a key fob & camera strap cover, so far. She lives in Houston-so I haven't seen this in person...but here is the image she sent via txt. Cute, no?
