First Time Egg Dyer

I have never (seriously), never dyed Easter Eggs.

I have also never, never boiled eggs.

So, this morning that is our great adventure.

I found that I should add cold water to cold eggs. Bring to a soft boil on med-high heat. Reduce heat and simmer for 9 minutes. Remove from heat and fill with cold water. My instructions also say that the eggs must be completely cool and dry, to decorate successfully. So, put them back into the carton and in the fridge? How long should they stay in the cold water before they go into the fridge?

Geez! What a "nube" I am!
