Today is a day I normally avoid at all costs... Especially if it occurs during the school week. However, this year I decided to play a fun, yet mean, trick on my own children.
I let them know we were having dessert first, specifically - cupcakes, for dinner tonight.
Why? Because it's April Fool's day & that seems like the fun thing to do. Plus, it's harmless. :)
Little did they know ... I prepared meatloaf cupcakes with creamy mashed potato "icing."
It was a riot! I did prepare an actual dessert for after our cupcake dinner... just to make up for the mean trick.
