Remember me talking about MckMama?
She needs our prayers... Her baby boy Stellan, is in the hospital... and it's scary-bad.
PLEASE PRAY!!!

Just a thought
at the end of church this morning, I had a thought. It feels good. So, I thought I'd share said thought.
With the big, "save the planet" movement, everyone is going green, right?
I think with the big, "save the planet" movement, everyone should go green, and ... go JESUS!
Just a thought.

Mailbox surprise!
In our mailbox today was a WONDERFUL surprise. Along with the water bill (that I've overpaid, and now do not have to pay this month ... or next :) ) was a DVD of Owen's baby dedication. Actually it was a DVD of the entire service. This is awesome because I didn't get any pictures of that day. I also am IN LOVE with the music at our church, especially the Christmas music. AWESOME!!! So, now I will take the DVD to my bro to see if he can pull out a frame or three for the photo book. AND, maybe as a bonus, he can pull some of the music out and burn it to a CD for my car. That would be even MORE awesome.
So, if you missed the dedication (*AHEM, JENNI*) then, fear not! I've got it for you to borrow.
Love great surprises!

Dedicated, no pictures
Owen was dedicated this morning, at church. I talked Dad and Brant into going. Sabrina and Dwain witnessed, too. I was so excited... but, I don't have a single picture to show for it. Not even one. I may have to re-dress my boys just for fun... and for the photo op. Hmmmm... now, where is that camera?!

Skipping out to hang out
I've been a bad girl. I skipped church... again.
My hunny had the morning off (a rare occasion around here)... so we lazied it yesterday morning and stayed in bed until 8. Then we got up and got dressed and headed to dad's house for breakfast. YUM!
I love lazy Sundays with my boys. It's a good thing not every day is Sunday. I'd be as big as a house... what with all of the eating and sitting around. The playing games and wrestling and holding sweet boys would surely lead to an even larger hiney.
So, yah.
Oh, my birthday was... um... uneventful. So, that is okay. I got a massage from the health club. It was... okay. I was wanting one of those uber relaxing things... but the masseuse was not accustomed to that type of massage. More like a pain management guy. Not totally relaxing. I'm not complaining. But, I could find something better to do with my $60 bucks. Okay, so maybe I am complaining. Then, we did tostadas at my Dad's house... Sabi came over. This was the highlight of my day. That, and Caleb telling me that when we got home he was going to wrap up one of his toys for my birthday present. So sweet!
Oh yah! Another highlight I just thought of... I got a text message from a teacher that one of our teachers delivered her baby on my birthday! How wonderful! The only scary part? She was only at 30 weeks, and baby Eva weighed only 2.5 pounds. But, both are doing well. I won't forget HER birthday, for sure.
So, here's to another year of living as a child of God. (even if I did skip out on church, post-birthday.) :)

Torn
Today was a day I needed to hear His word.
Owen decided that his belly was not quite full enough last night, at 10. Unfortunately, I didn't get the memo, nor did I understand why he was screaming for two full hours. Finally, at midnight, I decided to try feeding him. At last... the ceiling fan, silence and sucking noises were the only "sounds" heard in my house. I fell asleep at 1.
When Brant's alarm went off at 5:30 so he could get ready for work, I felt him rubbing my back. Uh. NO. THAT's not happening. Still. I told him, I was up with Owen far too late last night and was not getting up as early as I had planned.
See, I had planned on getting up at 5:30, showering, and taking my boys out to breakfast before church. Instead, I slept until 8:30. I promptly sprang out of bed and threw on some clothes. I brushed my hair and made sure Caleb and Owen were clean and dressed. I got to church at 9:05. Not too late. But, late, still. So, here I was at church. Dressed, hair brushed, and filthy. I hadn't had a complete shower since Thursday or Friday (I've forgotten).
Church was exactly what I needed. Kurt preached the perfect sermon to us, and I felt the spirit move me. I am still on the path to getting baptised in the Baptist church. I just need to do it on MY time. I know, not HIS plan...so, not my plan. Owen was an angel, again, eating like he's never been fed, and staying pretty peaceful and quiet during the service. The last song really spoke to me and I was able to harmonize like I LOVE to do. But, I still felt dirty. So, the moment church was over, I high-tailed it out of there to get "cleansed" in a whole other way.
I was halfway home when I realized two things:
1. I totally skipped out on the new CLG. Sorry, J!
2. My phone was at my dad's. Most likely dead.
So, I ran home to pick up stuff to shower at dad's house. (he has the BEST shower, ever). Sure enough, there is my phone. Dead. I won't go home until tonight... so I won't get it charged until then. So, if you are trying to reach me, you can try my dad's house number, or wait until tomorrow. Sorry.
So, why the post of torn? It has to do with the direction I feel I should go with my faith. I want Brant to be involved. He'll go to my baptism when the time is right. He'll do the FUN functions, if he is available. But, he works. A lot. As in nearly every Sunday from 7 to 7. This takes him away from the church. Plus, he will support whatever I choose for our boys... just ... he might not want to go with me to worship in the same way. It's fine. I think. So, does this make us a spiritually mismatched couple? Really? I keep thinking maybe not. So, I am torn. Do I really want to go that direction, or do I want to find another group that will support the more young-ish family group that I had last year? Or, do I do nothing... and just go to worship the Father? Hmmmm... yup. Torn.

Home
Man, I am so glad to be home. Glad to have a home. Messy as it is, and unwilling as I am to get it clean. I am so glad to have a wonderful home. I need to get the name of that lady that has a way to clean your house a bit at a time each day...the one that Jenni was talking about that Amber does. I bet Jenny does it, too.
Where is this coming from? Who knows?!
I totally spaced out at church today. YIKES! Everyone else in my CLG felt the sermon was spoken to THEM. But, not me. A few parts, maybe...but mostly not. Does that mean I am NOT ready to be baptized? Does that make me less of a Christian? Does that mean that I have not truly accepted the Holy Spirit, and cannot hear His word?
Also, I couldn't bring myself to include myself/family in today's prayer requests. I wanted so badly to ask for something to do with understanding or guidance in our quest to reproduce. I want so much to have this month be THE month. We're like rabbits...Sorry if I offend. No, I'm not. I feel like I walk in His light. So, by doing that, doesn't that entitle me to bring in another precious gift from him to this world? Maybe I am asking for something I am not ready to ask for, yet? I don't think so. WE conceived Caleb without much problem...lots of planning and feet in the window. This time I thought we leave it more up to Him. No charting with temperatures, and cervical position, and all that jazz. Just plain old fashioned bunny rabbit style. Hit and no miss. I even told BP that we weren't REALLY trying this month. We are just "having fun
& enjoying each other." Which is partially true. I am trying (and he knows it...it was a silly thing to fool myself). So, here goes a prayer for me, after all.
Dear God, my heavenly savior,
I am praying on behalf of my husband and myself. I am praying that you will allow us to conceive a healthy, happy, vibrant child that would follow your light. I understand that the door you open for us will not be easily visible, but we want so much to find it, walk through it and experience the road that follows on the other side of this door. Perhaps we have already opened it, and are unaware. I pray for the guidance to better hear your words, especially the words I am deaf to hear, right now.
In your name I pray,
AMEN
